It has always been rather expensive for clients to ring the DUTY VET NUMBER; but the cost was buried in everyone's phone bill and nobody noticed. "Nobody" included us - Urs often rang Colin on this number, and the cost was buried in Urs' bill, and we didn't pick it up.
From September 2007, thanks to an OFCOM dictat, the people who run this number have to explain to users how expensive it is; and some of the users have complained.
