A dedicated horse and farm practice, based near Kelso, serving South - East Scotland and Northumbria. This website aims to inform potential customers, and tries to answer the questions that new customers may ask.

Organisation
The practice will run pretty much as before - staffed by Colin Sutherland and Urs Schaeli. We’re usually in the office about 7.30 and on the road about 8. We don’t have to be back for evening surgeries or secretary meetings, so we can cover a lot of work ground.
Urs will go on doing the serious farm work – herd health plans, disease investigations general monitoring and advice. And he does the horse dentistry.
Colin will go on doing the serious horse work – vettings, scannings and studwork.
But we’ll both know what the other is doing and what is currently important, from general talk, reading each other’s notes and occasional brief meetings.
During the day the 07071 283100 number will be through to whichever one of us is in a good reception area; and each of us always knows where the other one is.
And the way work is going we’ll soon have to find another vet; but we’ll be as keen as the clients to find the right one – 30 plus, experienced horses cattle sheep (or at least two out of the three), positive attitude to work and clients.
